May donations update

With two days left in May we have received ...

8216 handmade items
2153 purchased and donated such as children's books, toiletries, hygiene items

These donations have come from 356 kind members.

We are so very grateful for all the support.

Donations and update Tuesday 28th May .....

We have had two lovely donations today.

We have also sent out 9 hospital boxes, 2 preemie care packages and 6 angel packs.

Thanks to all who support us, we couldn't do it without you.

May Knitting Challenge - Angel Gown Sets

Every month our members can participate in a voluntary knitting, a crochet and a sewing challenge.

This month our knitters are making Angel Gown Sets.

Our target was 100 Angel Gown Sets ....

We have raised the target so 150 sets .....

May Sewing Challenge - Port Pillows

Every month our members can participate in a voluntary knitting, a crochet and a sewing challenge.

This month our sewers are making Children's Port Pillows.

These are padded pillows that are used in incubators to keep tubing away from a baby's skin.  They can also be used for cancer patients to keep seat belts or straps away from port lines.

Our target was 250 pillows ....

With a few days of May left we have smashed the target with over 300 port pillows .....

May Crochet Challenge - Angels

Every month our members can participate in a voluntary knitting, a crochet and a sewing challenge.

This month our crocheters are making Angels.
These Angels are just some of the items that put into memory boxes to help parents who have suffered a bereavement.

Our target was 300 pairs of Angels .....

NHAP - Who we are

We are a group of people who knit, crochet and sew angel and preemie items to be donated to hospitals and to the families of angel and preemie babies. We currently send items to over 250 hospitals in the UK.

In addition we also support children and adults with cancer, the homeless, people living with dementia and autism as well as people with brain injuries.

All items are donated and sent to a central location to be quality assured then sent out to where they are needed based on requests from organisations.

We are raising money for postage - as you can appreciate postage costs are huge but the central collation and quality assurance is such an important process to ensure that all of our items are safe and we are only sending what organisations need.

We have been running for 6 years and during that time have helped hundreds of thousands of people including bereaved parents, newborn babies and we have hopefully made children in hospital smile when they receive an Easter or Christmas gift.
