Our Sewing Ladies

We have an incredibly talented group of sewing ladies who work with donated wedding dresses. The amount of work they put into transforming dresses into items for Angel Babies is mind blowing.
I'm sure you will agree the final results are stunning.

Recent Donations

We have so many kind members who give their time and resources to create beautiful makes.

All donations are sent to a central point and then donated to where they are needed based on requests.

We are pleased to be able to help so many babies.

World Prematurity Day

Today (17th November is World Prematurity Day.

Globally, an estimated 15 million babies are born prematurely each year and that number is rising.

World Prematurity Day helps to address this concern and improve the situation of preterm babies and their families.

On the 17th November, help us to raise awareness of this meaningful day by joining us in lighting a candle.

This year we have sent out over 3000 purple items to various hospital units around the UK to help them to celebrate today and to raise awareness to premature births .

October Crochet Challenge - Newborn Hats

Our October Crochet Challenge is going strong.

We challenged our members to crochet hats for newborn babies and there are some amazing makes ....

Homeless Hat Challenge

Winter is coming and for people without a regular place to call home it can be a cold, wet miserable experience.

This month we are making hats that will be donated to a homeless charity.

Our members continue to be very generous with their time and wool!

How to join us .......

We have amazing members who help us in so many ways. 

We are a friendly group of people with a common goal of helping people and are always looking for new members to help in whatever way they can.
	A lot of us have never met each other in person but chat regularly online. Others of our group don't chat and simply make and send. Either way is fine!
Members knit, crochet, sew, donate items for us to use as fund raising or raise postage funds for us.

Every month our members can participate in a voluntary knitting, a crochet and a sewing challenge.

This month our sewers are making sheets from fat quarters

Our initial target is 150 ....... will we do it?????

Mamma That Makes Itty Bitty Hat Drive 2019

We are so grateful to the Mamma that Makes blog for making us one of their official organisations to send donations to for their 2019 Hat Drive.

They are generously uploading a daily hat pattern too.

Their blog is worth checking out - it contains lots of great patterns!

6 - 8th September Boob Challenge

We had an impromptu boob challenge this weekend and asked members to knit, sew or crochet boobs.

These are used to help new and expectant Mums with Breastfeeding.

We were delighted when between us we made 190 over the weekend and the total is still rising.

Several sponsors pledged donations ranging from 2p per boob to a fixed amount.  This will help fund postage to send our boxes of donations to where they can help the most.
